Work order number lock
In Asset Essentials, you can prevent your users from creating their own work order numbers when submitting a new work order or editing an existing work order. If this setting is enabled, the Work Order # field will be locked and the number will automatically be generated once the work order is submitted or saved. *Note: The feature below is only available to clients who have purchased Asset Essentials Enterprise. Please contact your Sales Representative or Client Services if you are interested in purchasing Asset Essentials Enterprise.
Enabling work order number lock
- Click on the Admin menu icon, then select Configurations.
- Under the Misc section, select System Setting.
- Click the Edit button.
- In the General section, check the Work Order #s are system generated and cannot be edited box.
- Click Save. Once this setting is enabled, the Work Order # field on a work order form will be locked down and cannot be edited.
